Finished making a Poems! card for another request! Starting to get some entries posted from card holders too at the forum. Great stuff! Come check WdC out- many resources, competitions, and more- https://www.writing.com/main/forums/item_id/2153581-Genre-Poems-A-Writers-Bingo

In order to join in, you must have a WdC account- they have account levels ranging from free to several different levels of paid accounts. Sort of like Dreamwidth, but more community orientated. I encourage folks to check WdC out. I will offer this bit of advice-you will only get out of WdC what you put into WdC. If you are just looking for a place to post your work- this isn't the site for you. Stay here, or go to Wattpad, or even Ao3. If you want to actually join in a writing community instead of just looking for comments or kudos for your work, and you are seriously looking to improve your writing craft, WdC waits you!

WdC is open to fan fiction but more geared towards original fiction and poetry. They also have several features that are beneficial to two or more authors working together on a project. They also have a feature that reminds me of the old 'choose your own adventure' books where a person can start writing, post some options and other people can continue the tale.

Speaking of fan fiction- I have decided to edit and then continue one of my WIPs from Ao3.

Registered last night to volunteer at the local MS Walk taking place towards the end of the month. I won't be walking, rather handing out t-shirts to walkers and such.

Made a Poems! card for a new participant in the writing challenge I am running over at WdC. Haven't had a taker for a Genre! card yet. This is National Poetry month so lots of folks are participating in some form of NaPoWriMo, so that could be the reason.

For writers like myself, this month is also one of two Camp NaNoWriMo months (I think the second is in July). I am working on two related projects- four short stories and an outline for the novel I want to pull together in July. The short stories all involve characters that will be in the novel. So far so good- on track and schedule.

Working on the inspiration challenge for starfleet_hq, as I have mentioned before, forgot how fun a land comm could be!

Was happy to see that the Land Comm phenomenon isn't dead (I have very fond memories of LJ's eliteofthefleet)and although I had planned on this journal being primarily for writing, I couldn't resist when I found starfleet_hq
